Where to beginThe Shape of Nearness es un álbum de pop artístico con ambientación fantástica y veinte temas, cada uno inspirado por una estirpe élfica distinta y su propia forma de entender la intimidad. Entre caminos desérticos, puertos iluminados por la luna, pasadizos ocultos, cámaras de cristal, tormentas, rituales, sueños y espacios imposibles, el álbum explora el anhelo, la confianza, el deseo, la libertad y las decisiones que acercan a dos personas.
En lugar de tratar la fantasía como un mero decorado, el álbum convierte cada estirpe en un lenguaje emocional propio: la distancia se transforma en una búsqueda de rumbo, el secreto en vulnerabilidad, el ritual en consentimiento y la magia en una forma de expresar lo que las palabras cotidianas no alcanzan a decir. Cuerdas de música de cámara, sonoridades de cristal, arpa, cítara, instrumentos de lengüeta en registro grave, percusión delicada y armonías lejanas sin palabras se mueven entre el impulso inquieto y el casi silencio. Cada tema tiene una forma propia, pero todos pertenecen al mismo universo.
En el corazón del álbum hay una cercanía sin posesión: el instante en que la otra persona deja de ser solo alguien a quien deseas y pasa a ser alguien en quien confías, a quien eliges y a quien permites acercarse.
